Homework to prepare for class on Tuesday of week 8
Playtesting
Read:
Chaper 25 of "The Art of Game Design" by Jesse Schell.
Prepare (and hand in):
- Prepare a list of questions that you have about your games. For example: Are there aspects of your game that you are uncertain about? Are there things that you worry do not have the effect that you want them to have?
- Based on these questions, create a list of things that you are going to look for while people are playing your game. These things should give you some information that will help you answer your questions.
- Create a list of questions you are going to ask the players after they have played your game. Again, you are trying to answer your questions from above. (Make sure to take into account Schell's tips on formulating interview questions.)
