Game Maker
You are going to use a software tool called Game Maker to build your own games. The tool has a drag and drop interface, which allows you to build pretty sophisticated games without having to write computer code. You can download it from the Game Maker web site.
There is an online version of the Game Maker manual and a pdf version to download. The following sections are especially useful to look at:
- The global idea
- Defining Sprites
- Sounds and Music
- Backgrounds
- Defining Objects
- Events
- Actions
- Creating Rooms
