Promises and threats of AI
Read:
The Ethical Frontiers of Robotics by Noel Sharkey. In Science 19 December 2008, Vol. 322. no. 5909.Write:
- Weigh the promises and the dangers of the applications of AI described in the reading.
- Think of or find at least one additional application of AI where you think the promises outweigh the dangers, and at least one additional application where you think the dangers outweigh the risks?
- Do you think there are uses of AI that should not be allowed?
- If so, who is responsible for controlling what AI is used for?
- What responsibility do AI researchers have for the applications build with their findings?
