The purpose of the web page is to publish your project as completely as possible. Since this is a public web page, it is important to provide accurate and complete information. At the very least, your web page should include:

• Your contact information (and a photo is nice)
• Your advisor's name.
• The title and goals of the project. Include a clear description of the behavior and identify constraints and performance criteria.
• Links to relevant background literature.
• Links to your background paper, project proposal or requirements paper, links to your presentation.

Add other information, such as photos of equipment, schematics, diagrams, results, links to code, etc. as appropriate.

Course Requirements (498)

• Weekly meetings with project supervisor to report your project's status, discuss your progress and present your results. (including 1st week)

• Regular meetings/correspondence with Client

• Weekly reports detailing your progress. (see above link for template)

  • Include reasons why certain design choices or changes were made.

  • Report failures as well as successes. This shows that you have been trying new ideas...

  • Graded based on appropriate level of detail and honesty as much as the quantity of work that was accomplished.

• Objectives and Outcomes:
  In the fall term, students should demonstrate
  • proficiency in writing a detailed project proposal
  • an ability to give an oral presentation
  • proficiency in the brainstorming, feasibility analysis and simulation stages of the design process
  • proficiency in documenting a design project
  • an ability to work steadily and effectively to meet project deadlines

  • Design proposal presentation
  • Weekly progress reports
  • Project portfolio
• Logistics
  • Project supervisors and students will update project contracts and submit them to the seminar instructor if any changes are made to a student's project topic or supervisor.
  • Project supervisors will meet with students weekly to support the development of the oral presentation and detailed design proposal.
  • Project supervisors will provide feedback on design proposal drafts.
  • Seminar instructor will organize and schedule proposal presentations and provide proposal guidelines.
  • Grade will be submitted by project supervisor based on deliverables.

• Poster session (afternoon of Presentation Day).

  • proficiency in the implementation, debugging and testing phases of the design process
  • proficiency in writing a final project report
  • proficiency in oral presentations
