Brief Bio

I am professor and chair of the Computer Science Department at Union College.

Before coming to Union, I was on the faculty at Hofstra University. During my graduate studies I also taught at Pratt Institute, Rutgers University, Mount Holyoke College, and Polytechnic University. I received my Masters degree from New York University and my Ph.D. from Rutgers University.

Teaching

In spring 2009, I am team-teaching a Scholars Research Seminar entitled "Identity and Technology in a Media Saturated World"

I've also lately become very interested in issues of identity and technology, and what the Net Generation is really all about. I will be teaching course on this in Spring 2009.

Department

The CS department at Union has created a distinctive curriculum which makes exposure to computing possible for students from across the entire campus. We offer five theme-based introductory courses and welcome CS majors and minors, as well as students from other fields who are interested in enhancing their studies with computation.
